Dog portraits by local Baltimore artist

Looking for a unique way to pay tribute to your furry friend?

Gil Jawetz, a local Baltimore artist whose work has been celebrated in publications such as New York magazine, the Baltimore Sun and Urbanite magazine, offers dog owners a service that provides a one-of-a-kind portraits and paintings featuring their best friends.

“He does beautiful work,” says Brennan Kahl, owner of Peace. Love. Dog Walking, LLC.  “Aside from painting, he contributes a lot to animal shelters and other causes in the [Baltimore] area.”

According to his website, Jawetz has made donations of and from his work to BARCS (Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter), The Maryland SPCA, Paws 4 a Cause, Baltimore County Humane Society, Mid-Atlantic German Shepherd Rescue, Legacy Boxer Rescue and Barkin Arts NYC.
